Resolved Question: my netbook's bios doesn't have an option to boot from usb anymore, how do I remedy this?

winxp was running very slow on my netbook, so I tried installing ubuntu netbook remix via usb, but the installer didn't recognize my univ's wireless network and the installation stopped with my hard drive deleted. I tried various OS's with no success until gentoo installed. When I try to log in it says my user password is wrong and my root password is wrong. Also, bios does not have an option to boot from usb anymore for some reason. Why did the boot from usb option disappear and how can I fix this?... Read More »
