Resolved Question: How to I configure DNS on Gentoo Network Configuration?

I'm still incredibly new when it comes to Linux, so forgive me if this seems like a simple question. I just cannot find an answer anywhere. I managed to install Gentoo Linux using the minimal install disc, the os loaded up fine. I'm at the command line now. I want to instal XFCE, but I cannot download it because my net config is messed up. I am attempting to configure it so it will connect to the internet through another computer, which is connected to a router to the ISP. I've managed to get this working with GUI network managers before, but I am at a loss now. I am assuming there's something I need to type up in /etc/conf.d/net, but what exactly I need to type is completely over my head and I can't find anything on Google that can help.
